14 edition of Dealer’s Congress in Łódź

A perfect place to catch some automotive industry news and technological milestones – on 19-20.09 in Łódź took place the biggest gathering of car dealers in Poland.

What is Dealer’s Congress?

The Dealer Congress is organized by DCG Dealer Consulting, founded in 2008. For 15 years now, they have been providing comprehensive consulting services to car dealers in Poland, making them the first in the country to do so. By combining their knowledge of the automotive market with expertise in various advisory fields, DCG has become a leader in dealership consulting in the country.

From such a background came an idea for a gathering where industry professionals can share their insight into crucial changes in the automotive world. The annual Car Dealer Congress, which includes an exhibition component and gathers over 800 attendees in the audience, making it the largest conference of its kind in Central Europe, is a must visit place for anyone working in automotive industry.

The Managing Partner of DCG is Marek Konieczny, an automotive industry expert with over two decades of experience, an initiator of several advisory and conference projects, and a co-founder of the Association of Car Dealers. And, most importantly for this event, the main host of Car Dealer’s Congress.

Who are the guests of Dealer’s Congress?

From the very beginning, this event is addressed to both representatives of small and medium-sized dealerships, as well as managers managing several showrooms. But that is not all.

Three main areas for guests of Dealer’s Congress:

  • Dealers – share their case studies from own practices, offer good tips and solutions for your business
  • Experts and practitioners from the industry will show specific examples of implementations that have brought tangible results for dealers

2023 edition of Dealer’s Congress

The 14. Edition of the Dealer’s Congress was held, as usual, in Łódź on 19-20.09.2023.

During the 2 days guests could watch 380 minutes of practical speeches. In addition to the top-level lectures, the Congress was a great opportunity to meet other dealers, importers and service providers to the industry. A chance to exchange experiences, chat and maybe even initiate new business.

Digital workflow that drove profitability of our metal shop

Presentation by Piotr Darznik and Szymon Manicki from Zdunek Group.

A great example of the importance of digitalization of operations for small and medium-sized companies, regardless of industry. The speaksers presented a case of thier own company, where introducing digital workflow increased the efficiency of customer service office by 28% and all the software costs were returned, and further cuts to budget made, resulting in an overall saving of money and manpower.

Safety issues in the growing age of digitalization are crucial for many industries, including automotive. In this presentation, the matter of how a quick scan of a QR code or a single click on a link in an email can lead to phishing of company and customer data and how serious the consequences of these actions can be.

American ways to keep the customer in authorized service stations

A look into how American companies try to retain clients in their authorized service stations – by appealing to the feeling of offering premium service, compared to other servicing centers. These services involve the comfort of having everything done in one place, but also the feeling of being fully taken care of, e.g. mobile mechanic performing car inspection, fluid change, tire change all done at once.

Many of these topics indicate that Polish automotive scene is turning more and more into the digital sphere, which comes with many great opportunities for growth, but also numerous dangers that we must still be wary of.
